Getting Here

As you are coming into Ambleside on the A591, at the traffic lights by the lake, take the right hand fork (A) follow this road and you will see Hayes Garden Centre on your left. Just past the second entrance to Hayes, there is a car park on the right hand side-turn into the car park and drive through up to the top end (you will see Heart of the Lakes). Turn left out of the car park (this is Old Lake Road), then take the first right (Fisherbeck Lane, leading to Fisherbeck Park). Go up the hill and where you see a yellow grit bin facing you, take the left hand fork. Blue Hill House is about 100 yards on the left hand side. There is parking for 2 cars in the driveway at the front. There is also a car parking space behind the house, which can be accessed from Blue Hill Road-when you turn into Fisherbeck Lane, take the first left hand lane, then turn right (this is Blue Hill Road)-follow the road up and at some grey railings there is a car parking space, with a blue sign, Parking for Blue Hill House. The house can then be accessed down the steps.
